22kW Fiber Laser Cutting
The opening of our new facility in Castelseprio places LP SpA among Europe’s elite in thermal cutting. Our 22kW Fiber Laser system represents the highest power currently available on the market, pushing past the limits of traditional systems.
- Capacity and Precision: Ultra-high-speed cutting on Carbon and Stainless Steel with thicknesses up to 50 mm. Fiber technology ensures millimetric precision and flawless edge perpendicularity.
- Metallurgical Excellence: Compared to plasma or oxy-fuel, our laser reduces the Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ) by 40%. This preserves the material’s chemical and physical properties, providing “Ready-to-Weld” components that require no additional machining.
Sandblasting & Painting
Corrosion protection is the final and most critical defense for a plant’s longevity. LP SpA manages the entire finishing process in-house according to the highest international standards.
- Surface Preparation: We perform grit blasting with Sa 2.5 and Sa 3 cleanliness grades, essential for ensuring the correct coating anchor profile.
- ISO 12944 Protective Cycles: We apply certified coating systems designed to withstand extreme conditions (C5-M, CX). Every batch is electronically monitored to verify the Dry Film Thickness (DFT), ensuring full compliance with project specifications.
Pipe Bending
Specializing in cold plastic deformation, our bending department is equipped with Schwarze-Wirtz WE80 Boostertechnology. This machinery allows us to overcome the most complex geometric challenges in heavy boiler manufacturing.
- Technical Performance: We achieve tight-radius bends (down to 1.5D) on tubes up to 88.9 mm (O.D.).
- Structural Integrity: The CNC-controlled “Booster” system applies axial thrust to prevent excessive fiber stretching, minimizing wall thinning and keeping ovalization within very tight tolerances, essential for high-pressure services.
Profile Bending & Rolling
We round out our metal transformation offering with solutions for large-format shaping and heavy steelwork.
- CNC Bending: Our high-tonnage press brakes can process complex profiles and heavy-gauge plates, ensuring consistent bend angles and absolute repeatability.
- XXL Rolling: We handle plates up to 30 mm thick for the production of shells, cylinders, and tanks. Electronically controlled roller technology allows for precise diameters, ready for subsequent automatic or manual welding stages.
