High Frequency Welded Finned Tubes

LP SpA’s High Frequency Welded (HFW) finned tubes are the industry benchmark for thermal efficiency under severe conditions. We utilize a continuous electrical resistance welding process that ensures a perfect metallurgical bond between the fin and the tube, minimizing thermal resistance and maximizing the component’s service life.

  • Production Range: We handle tube outside diameters from 3/4” (25.4 mm) up to 10” (273 mm). Our technology allows us to fin tubes with exceptional lengths, up to 26 meters (85 ft).
  • Fin Geometry: I-Type fins, available in Solid configuration for constant flows or Serrated to generate turbulence and increase the heat transfer coefficient.
  • Materials: A vast combination for every project need. Tubes in carbon steel, carbon-moly, stainless steel, Inconel, and Incoloy. Fins in carbon steel, 300 and 400 series (304, 310, 321, 409, 410), and special alloys like Inconel.

Laser Welded Finned Tubes

Designed for critical and super-critical services where millimetric precision and long-term reliability are vital requirements. Laser welding represents the pinnacle of LP SpA’s technological vanguard: this process ensures full weld penetration between the fin and the tube with extremely reduced and localized heat input.

Unlike traditional methods, laser technology preserves the mechanical integrity and metallurgical structure of the base tube, minimizing the Heat-Affected Zone (HAZ). This specific feature allows for the finning of exotic materials, special alloys, or thin-walled tubes, ensuring stability even under high thermal stress. It is the preferred choice for modern heat recovery plants that demand compactness and peak performance.
